A foreword

This is a blog about Dwarf Fortress. If you don't know what Dwarf Fortress is, go google it.
If we're on the same page here, i'd like to introduce a kind of a megaproject i'm doing here: i'm learning how to play DF.
My previous forts were only living for a few years and in some relatively calm environments, so i've put myself in an environment with lots of dead stuff roaming the wilderness to see how many times i'll fuck things up.
I also decided that to start over each time i fuck things up would be too time-consuming, so let's just assume this blog isn't about save whoring, it's about time saving. Each time the fortress is totally fucked up, i describe how it happened and load a save to totally fuck it up again at some other point.

For Daggermines i'm using v0.28 as i presume it's stable enough, but i'm planning to venture with 0.31.* as soon as it gets patched up to be reliable enough (i want to brave its features, not bugs).
